We all strive to be less stressed, less taxed, less over-committed. So, why is it that we are the ones that add more to the equation? We are a society addicted to more — more stuff, more money, more achievements. The irony of our desire to live simply, is that there’s nothing more we need to add. There’s a quote in the movie Fight Club that I love, “The things you own, end up owning you.” I think this extends beyond material possessions. We OWN our emotions, our goals, and our responses. And, yet, we allow them to own us much of the time. So, I say purge what you don’t need — physical or emotional.
Namaste.
